A happy happy birthday to my friend!! Ok fine. Bel A happy happy birthday to my friend!! Ok fine. Belated. Her birthday was yesterday. BUT IT’S THE THOUGHT THAT COUNTS, right? I’m buuusyyyyyyy. 😩😩😂 But look, I’m posting your photos with your little one done a few weeks ago! Yayyy! Enjoy!
What do you do when a couple messages you and asks What do you do when a couple messages you and asks if you would be willing to drive out 2 hours in the middle of nowhere to shoot their wedding? You say yes. Obviously. No GPS. No cellservice. And it was amazing. A & D planned their wedding perfectly. They were going to rent a few cabins in the National Park of Mont Tremblant and ask their friends to help. All the dishes and decor was thrifted over the last year and everyone was in charge of their own table’s centrepieces. The theme? SAILOR MOON. Man I miss that show. Heavy rain was expected this weekend but mother nature was so so good to us. we didn’t get a drop. Was so happy to be able to shoot this wedding. The atmosphere was so comforting and supportive. Even if the drive back was a litttllleeeee scary. There were times where I really thought I took a wrong turn and was lost. The bf really didn’t appreciate me calling him when I had 1 bar saying I didn’t know where I was seconds before it cut off again for another 30 minutes lol soooorryyyyyyy Was totally worth it though ;) A few vendors Hair and Makeup: @samsarabrown.muah Coordination: @lilyrosesevents
I got an email a few days ago from one of my coupl I got an email a few days ago from one of my couple asking if I still had their photos. I shot their intimate wedding back in 2019 and they had never got around to downloading all the images. 2019?! So this is my reminder to you to GO DOWNLOAD ALL YOUR IMAGES If I sent them to you. Because technology is amazing… until it’s not. and Backup, backup, backup. If you don’t remember your link, lmk. I officially haven’t lost an image yet in my 15 years career but i won’t be able to say that forevvverrrr. Anyways, I can’t be mad because it forced me to go back and look back at the images! This couple decided to get married ON THEIR OWN at city hall in Ottawa and invited me to come along and photograph the event. When I say on their own.. I mean on their own. Meaning that once at city hall, we had to go ask a few people if they wanted to be a witness. HOW CUTE. I think we asked 3 people before this lovely lady (in the photos) joined us. The other witness you ask? Oh…. Well it was me! I signed the official papers! These are my favourite weddings. No fuss. No real timeline. No “traditions”. No real details. Just love. Anyywayyyssss we started their day getting ready at their brand new house. They hardly had any furniture and it was already perfectly lovely. We got ready, jumped in an uber, and headed over to city hall! Afterwards, we did a small session around town and back to Montreal for me! But not so fast! because THE NEXT DAY, they came to Old port to me and I photographed them AGAIN in other outfits. But that session will be for another day ;) I absolutely love this couple ! Enjoy !

When I sent the photo gallery to the couple, it was the bride’s bachelorette party! She got the images while her friends were all in the living room having an amazing time and they decided to look at them all for the first time together! Apparently everyone mentioned how upbeat and smiley the groom was. Noone recognized him cause he’s actually an introvert!?!? COULD HAVE FOOLED ME!! My grooms (and fathers) are always having an amazing time at their shoots. So take notes from this groom… shoots are FUN! I 💯 will make him comfortable. It’s my job! ♥️ They are getting married in 3 days!
It’s almost impossible to publish a full wedding It’s almost impossible to publish a full wedding in 20 images. But I’m going to try. L & M had a wedding at the new @hiltongardeninn_mtl_midtown where they had a beautiful covered “rooftop” terrasse for their ceremony. Gotta love spots that are full of light. Shout out to the MaîtreD there as he was totally there for the vendors as well as the guests. Such a delight. This isn’t before we went for photo in the old port starting from LAVAL. If you have the possibility to NOT do this.. Don’t. Because it took us over an hour (maybe 2?) to get there and back. Time that you could have had to do something else other than sitting in traffic. I can’t complain too much though because the photos turned out pretty cute. Was happy to sit in traffic to get these done. All in all an amazing day. This wedding was a good reminder to truly take the time to pick your wedding party and your vendors. Don’t pick anyone out of obligation but rather based on the vibe you want. Your wedding party should be there to SUPPORT your wishes, not challenge it. These people were ALL IN all day and it made the day so much easier on everyone. But the same goes for vendors. They should be a group of people that HELP YOU get the dream wedding that you want. People that are flexible and willing to work WITH you when things need to change up shouldn’t be your vibe. You can plan, plan, plan all your want but it’s important to remember that anything can happen at weddings. Things run late, people back out, timelines change. And your vendors should do not short than ADAPT. Never be shy to not book someone if your gut doubts something. It’s always right. I’ll need to blog this one to show the full range of photos. We spent a few days at the chalet this week to try We spent a few days at the chalet this week to try to clear our lungs from city pollution and see if we can get a little zen. The bunnies haven’t been doing too well this summer. First Tiller that was diagnosed with heart failure (he’s doing better now) and now Mollie who seems to have this weird mystery illness where she (we) have not been sleeping along with many other symptoms. She’s still her joyful little self and she doesn’t seem too bothered but she’s got something happening. If there’s any vets out here, feel free to contact me as we are not being taken seriously anywhere. This poor bun is not doing great and all they keep saying is that it’s anxiety and/or dementia. Who knew that even female doggy symptoms weren’t taken seriously either (just like women’s symptoms) . Because there’s NO WAY that its anxiety or dementia. Anyways, in the midst of all this, we are right at the end of wedding season and editing is pillinnngggg up. I’m so thankful though that I was able to book so many weddings this year because not sure I could have afforded all these vet appointments. We are up the 10s of thousands so far. 😩♥️🤦‍♀️ wtf capitalism. I have so much editing that i’ve been trying out @imagen.ai to try to alleviate a little work off my hands. It’s still a work in progress as it needs to learn you and your style before being able to actually be fully beneficial but hey, we are trying. 2024 is kicking my butt. Anyways i just really wanted to come here and share these photos I took yesterday. It’s starting to be apparent that we might not stay this little family forever like I had originally hoped so any moment I have free i’ll be over here forcing moments with them. Keep pulling out that camera whenever you can, friends. Capture that moment so that it can be in the front of your mind forever. P.s We are ok. No need to comment anything other than AWWW SOO CUTEEEE. I’m just a little frustrated (and sad) at how the world works and looking for a vet to talk to 😂😂😂 but seriously I truly did only come here to share these cute photos 🥰🥰🥰♥️♥️ The last photo is my fav because that’s really how I pick him up.
