T&D’s morning started the way I love. There’s something about that pre-ceremony energy that never gets old. Everyone’s excited, a little nervous, and the light coming through the windows during getting-ready shots was just doing its thing.
We slipped out to Parc Marcel-Laurin for the first look, and honestly, it couldn’t have been a better day for it. Full sun, beautiful light, and that moment when he turned around. completely worth it. First looks are always one of my favourite parts of a wedding day. There’s no audience, no pressure, just two people seeing each other and forgetting everything else for a minute. The park gave us just enough greenery and open space to work with without feeling staged.
From there, we made our way to Le Crystal in St-Laurent for the ceremony and reception. If you’ve shot there before, you know the space does a lot of the work for you. The ceremony was intimate and emotional, and by the time the reception kicked off, the energy in that room was exactly what you want as a photographer. People were present, the dance floor filled up fast, and Johnny Mix kept it going for the evening.
Then came the moment nobody saw coming after the cake cutting, T&D did a gender reveal right there at the reception. Pink confetti everywhere. It’s a girl!
T&D, thank you for trusting me with your day. It was a beautiful one.
