A study by Hinge found that 81% of users judge someone based on their photos before reading the rest of their profile.

According to a study by OkCupid, profile photos are the most important aspect of a dating profile, with people spending up to 90% of their time on a profile looking at photos before deciding to swipe left or right.

Bumble has reported that profiles with clear, high-quality photos are 75% more likely to receive right swipes compared to profiles with blurry or poorly-lit images.

Research by Match.com showed that profiles with professional-quality photos received two to three times more matches compared to those with casual, poorly-lit selfies.

WHAT’S THE SESSION LIKE?

My lifestyle sessions are outdoor sessions where you can really be yourself. You bring 3 outfits as well as props that reflect YOU. This could mean a book, a notebook, a camera, your skates, your bicycle. Anything that gives people a tiny glimpse into your real life. These sessions are relaxed, fun, although maybe intimidating at first, you will quickly get comfortable. The vibe is that I pretend to be your annoying friend with a new camera that keeps wanting to take photos of you. At the end of the session, I promise we wil be friends for real. 

We can go to a coffee shop, play guitar at the park, walk around your favourite market, or even just stay in your own home with your pets.

These sessions are include: 

  • 1+ hour session on location, in your own home, or in studio
  • Up to 3 outfit changes
  • Personal rights to print and share photos with family and friends (add commercial rights for only 100$ more)
  • 10 high-resolution photos

Are these dating portraits really worth it?

YES! Listen, everyone is amazing in their own way but it’s so hard to show that through a random selfie. You need the eye of a professional photographer to capture you in your most natural state. These sessions are long and gives you the time to relax and be yourself. When you feel like yourself, it shows through the lens. That’s the only way you’ll be able to show someone else the light you can bring to a relationship (let it be a personal or even professional one). Give yourself the change the show off the true version of you. 

You and the rest of the world. I’ve NEVER met a potential client that came up to me and said: “Hey btw, get ready, cause I’m REALLY good in front of the camera” . It’s completely normal to feel awkward at first. My literal job is to guide you and pose you so that you look like yourself. 

Then you can get them!! They are $25 each for personal use or $50 if you want to use it for your professional profiles (such as Linkedin). 

We can absolutely move it. It doesn’t bother me at all. I want you to get the best photos you can get and if the forecast isn’t favourable for it… then, we can change it. If it doesn’t bother you and you really want to make it fun however, I also don’t mind shooting IN THE RAIN! An umbrella can be really cute.

Yes sure, if it fits within the allowed time. Shooting at the studio (indoor) is also possible but we would go outdoor near the studio. Traveling somewhere else is a little tricky as you lose a lot of time from your session. 

An other option would be to do this session fully outdoor and then book a shorter session indoors on another day. You can see the details for that on the portraits page.

Stuff that feels like YOU. You can bring a “formal” outfit but I would casual-it-up a little to make it feel more approachable. These sessions should be the fun side of you. The “everyday” side. I’m all for showing off a more “business” style but, ( and I’m gonna be uber honest here ) as a person who has spent times on the apps before, people truly prefer the more “real”, lifestyle, natural photos. However, if you want an outfit that’s more “serious” because you want to remember how you were in 20 years… yes! Let’s do it! This is YOUR shoot.
