K + P | St-Paulin Wedding

Last summer I traveled from Montreal to Saint-Paulin to photograph a wedding at Le Baluchon Éco-villégiature, and it was one of those days where everything fell into place. The weather was ideal, the light stayed soft all day, and the atmosphere felt calm and genuine. From a photography perspective, it was a dream. The entire gallery is filled with light. I love this couple so much. I’m so happy the weather cooperated.

The bride wore a traditional Asian wedding dress in white by @eastmeetsdress, which looked elegant and timeless in the natural surroundings. Her hair and makeup were done by @maryline.robesdemariee, keeping everything polished and natural. The groom wore a beige suit from @baggi Montreal, a choice you don’t see often and one that photographed beautifully. Together, their looks felt intentional, modern, and very true to who they are.

After getting ready in their rooms, They had a first look and we headed out to the ceremony together.

The couple arrived at the ceremony site by horse carriage, crossing the property toward their families who were waiting under a wooden structure. The setting was simple and beautiful, surrounded by nature. It created an intimate ceremony space that felt warm and relaxed.

The ceremony was led by Val, a family member, after the officiant fell ill… An unfortunate thing but, honestly… How fun to have family marry you. The bride’s sister, walked Momo the dog down the aisle as the ring bearer, which brought plenty of smiles from guests.. including MYSELF. yay dogs.

Music and decor were provided by @groupe.decoralium, with Billy Dauphinais setting the tone throughout the day. The reception flowed naturally, and the sweet table by @viba.fudge.and.chocolat added a beautiful detail to the evening. Billy did such a great job!! I loved his work. A custom pet ceramic figurine from @marieclauderroch on Etsy was another personal touch that reflected the couple’s attention to detail.

The couple shared a slow dance with their parents, followed by a quiet moment together on the dance floor. Later in the evening, the energy shifted with a fast dance between the two of them. The lights were dimmed, light sticks came out, and the dance floor filled with movement and energy inspired by wotagei style dancing. Whattttt.  It was fun, unexpected, and completely their own.

One piece of advice the couple shared during the planning process was to start early and take the time to enjoy the small details. Seeing their day come together so seamlessly, it was clear how much care they put into every choice.

Some vendors.
