You know what I’m not doing enough of ? Blogging weddings! If I wouldn’t keep reminding you… I doubt you would even know I was a wedding photographer. Yes, it’s 9h30 pm and yes, I haven’t blogged a wedding in about 434354543 days.. but it will hit ya when it hits ya.<\/p>\n

This evening, I want you to show you the wedding of Danielle and Martin. Why? Because they did it oh-so-right<\/em>. Everything was just amazing. From the dress, to the flowers, to the weather and the location. Ok, the weather wasn’t their doing … but WHO CARES! Everything worked!<\/p>\n

These two are so incredibly in love. It really showed that day. They didn’t stop smiling the whole day.<\/p>\n

This wedding is a great example to how the location of\u00a0your sessions in the morning can make your photos so much more fun! This place was a guest house attached to the vineyard. Lots of space, amazing natural light and the bride and groom were both in the same house! Just different rooms. They didn’t see each other at all. I was able to jump from room to room and not miss a moment!<\/p>\n

We had a blast in Rougement. Well I did anyways. Danielle was amazing enough to send me a BEAUTIFUL email afterwards … Just I know she has fun with me too \ud83d\ude09 <3<\/p>\n

I got the pictures. \ud83d\ude00 I can’t stop gushing about how amazing they are!<\/em><\/p>\n

I just want to say that when Martin and I sat down to budget the wedding, one of our priorities was having a great photographer, since we didn’t have a lot of pictures of the two of us at the time. Finding the money within our small-ish budget for a quality photographer involved some juggling, but I’m *SO* glad we did. The pictures are everything I dreamed they would be; you were worth every penny spent and then some. I’ve seen you mention in your blog about how you’ve helped past brides with wedding day emergencies, and I thought “Nah, she must just be upselling herself – there’s no way a photographer would take on other roles than what they’re being paid for!” I could not have been more wrong, you really came through for me when […] couldn’t make it on the wedding day, and that means so much to me! If ever there is anything I can do, whether it’s sharing a post on FB or answering a potential client’s questions, etc. just let me know, I’d be happy to help. Obviously, I’ll be coming to you with any photography needs I have. \ud83d\ude09<\/em><\/p>\n

If there’s one piece of advice you could give other brides during this planning process, what would it be?<\/em><\/strong><\/span>
\nDo what feels right to you. All the etiquette rules that they talk about online are a guideline only, but it’s your family and you know them better than some stranger on the internet. So if that means including the adult son who lives at home on the same invite as their parents, because he won’t respond otherwise, then do it. It’ll save you the headache of chasing his response <\/span><\/span>afterwards.<\/span><\/p>\n
