Ugh. I\u2019m going to say this once. No you are not. You simply do not have an experience. It is ridiculous to imagine that you should be comfortable in front of a professional camera if you have never done it before. Your photographer is the one responsible to making you feel comfortable and at ease during a shoot. The reason people are \u201cphotogenic\u201d is not because they are \u201cpretty\u201d. That\u2019s a very subjective term. The reason they are great photos is because people let go and start being themselves. And that is the responsibility of the photographer. No one else.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

I only take a small number of Weddings<\/a><\/span> but am always open to do elopements or to travel.<\/p>

Short answer is no. I pride myself in specializing in people who are shy and uncomfortable in front of the camera. And that, takes time. My packages have been built to produce photos that you will LOVE no matter how much experience you have in front of the camera. My sessions tend to go over 2 hours and my weddings start at 4 hours. This is by design and, unfortunately, cannot be done shorter.\u00a0<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

I absolutely have a contract and you should never work with someone who doesn’t have one.<\/p>

When you book, a non-refundable retainer fee has to be make in order for me to reserve the day for you. If the case that you need to cancel your wedding day, you can get that fee back if we are more than 10 months of your day. That\u2019s because there\u2019s still a chance I might be able to book that date. If we are less than 10 months however, that fee is NON-REFUNDABLE. Your balance is due 7 days before your day. That amount only becomes non-refundable in the circonstance that you would need to cancel 3 days (72 hours) before your day.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

For weddings, you should book me at least a year in advance. Because I only take a small number now, I can book up rather quickly so, if you really like my work\u2026 Consider doing it ASAP. \u00a0You can always try however to see if i\u2019m available by sending me an email.<\/a><\/span><\/p>

For shoots, usually from 2 weeks to a month is good! If it\u2019s a boudoir session you are looking into, and you want an album for a special present, consider two months because printing companies take a while.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

For weddings, a 1000$ retainer fee along with your contract is required to book the date (500$ for very small weddings). This deposit ensures that I book you (and only you)\u00a0in my calendar. The remaining balance is due 7 days prior to the wedding date. These dates are first-come, first-serve.<\/p>

For sessions, a 100$ fee is required.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Depends on you! If your wedding doesn’t require a 2nd shooter, I work alone. If you would prefer to have a second person, it can absolutely be booked for 85$ per hour.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

I process orders on a timeline basis. The first weddings of the year will get their photos first. Generally, you should allow 8-12 weeks for photos to be retouched and uploaded into your gallery. My albums take approximately 3 months to complete\u00a0starting only after the wedding season is done\u00a0<\/i><\/strong>depending on emails responses from you. These albums are custom-designed by me and it requires a little time to get done.<\/p>

For sessions, it takes about 2 weeks for photos to come back during the winter (November-April) and 4 weeks during the summer (May-October)<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

You get all of the photos from your wedding day (or shoot) that I deem \u201cawesome\u201d. That means that unless the flash didn\u2019t pop, the photos are blurry or you aren\u2019t mid-blink, you will get it. Typically that\u2019s approximately 50-70 photos per hour booked. This number isn\u2019t guaranteed though. The number of photos depend of SO MANY FACTORS, including length of contract, Lighting on the day, number of guests, venue decor, etc.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

in all seriousness, I love to work with people who consider themselves to be SHY or not photogenic because I LOVE to prove you wrong haha. I\u2019m a talker which means I never let your mind wonder during the session (or wedding) and allow you to ask yourself what you should be doing next. I direct you the whole time. It is MY JOB to tell you how to pose, not yours. In short, I got you.<\/p>

On wedding days, I\u2019ll be there not only to take your photos but to HELP YOU as well. Need a glass of water? I\u2019ll go get it. Need better shoes to walk on the grass? I\u2019ll give you mine. I love photographing the \u201cgetting ready\u201d part. Love love. If makeup and hair is needed, I recommend at least 1.5 hours. If not, usually 30-45 minutes is enough. No, sorry! The RAW images (.nef) are just for me. There\u2019s several reasons for that : Images are taken in RAW format so that they can be edited in my signature style (which you see on my website). Without that editing, they are really boring photos. They also need the proper program and plugins to be previewed and edited and they would be completely useless to you. Just an icon on your computer. They contain copyrighted material that is only to be used by the owner. And finally, if you do have the plugins to see them\u2026 they are really yucky to look at! they are usually dark, flat in color and uncropped. Really not fun to own.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Of course! It\u2019s never too late to decide to invest in an album. However, the opposite can\u2019t be done. If the album is already in your contract, it cannot be removed after it\u2019s signed. For the family portraits at weddings? Yes. A month before your wedding day, I send you a form to fill out so that I can get all the details and schedule of your day. I like to come prepared. Included in that, there\u2019s a family list that I want you to think about and then create so that the day goes smoothly and we don\u2019t forget any important portraits with family\/friends. As far as candid moments however\u2026 no. Why? Because those moments cannot be created. If I have a list of specific moments that I\u2019m looking to capture and that I need to think about not forgetting, that means that my mind is occupied and I might miss authentic moments that are *naturally* happening. You don\u2019t want that! Weddings are all very similar, those \u201cmoments\u201d that you want me to capture are probably going to happen naturally. Don\u2019t worry about it so much! Unless it\u2019s something like \u201cMy grand aunt is very shy, please make sure to get at least one photo of her\u201d or \u201cmy shoe laces are very important to me, please get one of those\u201d Then\u2026 I agree\u2026 Give me a SHORT list. \"\ud83d\ude42\"<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Of course I do! On the day of the wedding, I work with 2 cameras (one main and a backup) and also shoot on dual-slot cameras. That means that my cameras have two cards at all times: the main and a backup. In case one card was to corrupt (yes, it happens) there’s the second one as a backup.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

I would probably need to be extremely sick (or have COVID) in order not to make it to your wedding day. I\u2019m talking missing an arm or something. *knocks on wood*. If ever it does happen, there\u2019s a solution. 6 years ago, I built a network on wedding photographers in Montreal and invited them to join a Facebook group. Since then, we have grown and became friends. We share industry tips and tricks, learn from each other, go out for drinks and\u2026 cover for each other if someone needs it. In the case where I were to be very sick and unable to make your wedding day, I would call on 300 professional photographers in that group and make sure that your event would be covered with someone with the same style and mentality as myself. I would then take those images and retouch them to match the style you expected. In the extreme off-chance I were NOT to find anyone available, you would get 100% of your money back. Including the retainer fee.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
