The holidays are here! How FAST did it show up this year? 😩 Wishing everyone a happy and safe holiday season. For most of us, it’s tough to slow down and take the time to “smell the roses” but hopefully you are putting your foot down this year and forcing it on yourself. Time flies and it’s important to make every moment count. ✨ Tell that client it can WAIT so that you can take some time to recharge. ✨ Take lots of pictures and videos (especially with YOU in them) ✨ Breathe and Take in the moments✨ Remember that the holidays aren’t easy for everyone so take that minute to call your loved ones… even if it’s just to say hey or remind them that you are around. I’m just a DM away if you are feeling lonely and want to chat. Or Let’s go for coffee? I’m sharing my little “family” session I did with @h3katelier this fall. Let’s talk about the getting ready part of the wedding day. Honestly, one of my absolute favorite times to photograph. I’ve said this to potential clients quite a lot but some still don’t seem to believe how important this part of the day to your wedding story.   There’s just so much happening—so much emotion.I get it though. It’s the part of the day where you aren’t maybe “looking your best” (whatever that means ;) But… The excitement IS in the air. Your best friends are there, laughing, hyping you up, maybe popping some bubbly. You are nervous, excited, scared, doubtful? Just kidding. Then there are the parents—oh man, the way they look at you in that moment? It’s everything. You’re stepping into your dress for real this time (and yeah, it’s as magical as you imagined). This part of the day can be so relaxed, too. No crazy timelines other than the time WE NEED TO LEAVE. It’s just a part of the day where you get a chance to soak it all in… You know, before the day even starts. I just love it.   It’s when I get to be a little creative too (cause i have the time!), capturing all those little moments that might otherwise go unnoticed. Some people think they don’t need photos from the morning. But trust me, this is where your wedding story really starts to unfold. These moments? They’re gold.Here’s a few photos from *some* wedding this year on the bride’s side. I’ll do the guys another day. There’s just too many fun photos.

Sometimes a shoot is dark and gloomy and that’s okaaayyyy. We love them all the same! Especially if there’s a doggy involved. Too many images to share in this maternity session. As many of you know. I offer double-header maternity sessions where we start at home with some cozy/boudoir shots and then head out. We really wanted a sunset here so we did an extra day as well 🫣 but that will be for another post 🤍🫄

The sunsets this fall were pretty epic. Combine that with Montreal’s most beautiful hidden park and you get this engagement session with A & A. It was so much fun photographing these two. Loved the energy.I really tried to make it fit all in 20 Images but I failed. This is part☝🏼

“The word “professional” comes from the Middle English word profes, which means “having professed one’s vows”The word’s etymology reflects the idea that professionals are people who have specialized in their trade and have vowed to perform it to the highest standard.”Keeping that in mind, Nowhere does it say that it’s associated to a certain look or style. However many, even in 2024, still think that “to be professional” means that you must dress and act a certain way. But you don’t. To me, to be a true professional, you must know your craft and be able to deliver amazing work consistently and with confidence. or put simply “to deliver the work without excuses”.By confidence, that also means staying true to yourself. That includes your values … and your style. When I photograph professionals, I want them to come with fun outfits that represent them. That could include colour, textures, jeans, smiles, laughes, funny faces, whatever you wish. You do you. Just like my girl @chelseadawn_lockstolashes here who wanted photos for her new site that reflected her more. This is part one of a fun shoot we did a little while back. The point is to attract the clients that have your same core values as an entrepreneur. So I say, if your look is what some would call “wild”, then be your wildest … and scare off those who don’t get it ;)Looking for photos for your own business? Call me.
