B+B | Montreal wedding
This is the wedding of Brittany & Brad.
They got married last year in Beloeil in an awesome outdoor wedding.
One thing that I absolutely love about these photos is the light in the getting ready spot for the groom and his boys. Everything just worked. There was two last windows. the decors was spot on and the boys were full of laughs and energy. This day started there. Aftwewards, we went on and photographed the bride with her girls at her parent’s house.
We did a first look (which included their doggy) and then went on to the ceremony. You’ll notice that, even though we did a first look, the photos were done AFTER the ceremony. The reason for that was simple. We had time! I always love doing first looks before we can really capture a nice moment between the couple. However, if the ceremony is pretty early (in this case, it was 3h), it’s really not necessary to take all the photos before it. The sun is really bright around noon and photographers usually have a hard time finding areas that look great. You really only want to do the photos if your ceremony is too close to sunset. That way, you take advantage of the light!
The ceremony spot was gorgeous. To be completely honest, I did have a little trouble due to the sun hitting the tree above PERFECTLY, creating a lot of “not-so-fun” shadows. The most important thing though are the emotion and this wedding had plenty. If you are curious on how the sun will hit for your wedding , be sure to head there at the exact time and season as your own ceremony. However, we all know that the weather is so unpredictable (yay to being a wedding photographer) so, most of the time, the sun patterns won’t match anyways.
