This lovely session is a perfect example of what a family session is. We go to a lovely location, start by taking photos of everyone together. Then, we take the time to take photos of Daddy and Kids, then mommy and kids. We then get back together and take more photos of everyone. We also take the time to take photos of Mommy and Daddy ALONE. Because intimacy is important, even when you have kids. Sometimes, the kid(s) will get annoyed and run off on their own and sometimes, they’ll want to play. Which is all more than ok. We want to photograph the true SPIRIT of the family and that requires time and patience. We can’t expect kids to just pose and smile all the time. They don’t do that in their normal lives! As they are growing (often way too fast) we want to remember them as they truly were.. not how we think they should be.
