If there’s one thing I love… It’s a family session. Not only because of the love a family can show through their photos but for the realness of it all. When photographing a couple, it’s very easy to control the situation and make them pose however you need to. With kids however, it’s much more difficult. With these 3 munchkins… It’s nearly impossible.  Which is why I love them so much. I have photographed this family since this little girl was 2 years old. They grew up with me as their photographer. And every year, it’s even more of a mess.

I absolutely love these images. They are so real, so fun. so pure.

If you are looking for a photographer to photograph your family. Learn to appreciate the energy your kids have to offer and learn to let go of control of what your images “should look like”. Your session should remind you of your kids’ true personalities for years to come. Let them play. Let them make faces. Your photographer will be able to capture some beautiful smiles along the way… but it definitely shouldn’t be your focus.
