Ah social media. It really is a love and hate relationship. Because no matter how hard we try, the system isn’t setup for us to win. Being shown constantly to new people has its benefits for sure but if we aren’t show to people that intentionally follow our page so that they can interact with us and show instagram that we are relevant and interesting to those people… then what’s the point?

S proposed to E at the Montreal Lookout on Feb 14 with a plastic ring cause he was too afraid to travel with it and lose it. It was so cute 😂

I almost never became a wedding photographer. The

I almost never became a wedding photographer.
The first wedding I ever shot. I hateddddd it.
I told myself, never again. Because Weddings are very much a you-love-it-or-you-hate-it kind of gig. And I was convinced I was on the hate-it side.

Then a friend asked me to shoot her wedding.
I said yes but not before hiring three assistants because I was so scared. And I loved every second of it!
Here’s what I figured out that day.
It wasn’t weddings I hated. It was the way that first photographer was doing it.
Fly on the wall. No connection. No conversation. Just... lurking.
And that’s not me.
I’m loud at weddings. I make people laugh. I love connecting with people. Becoming their friend. My first job isn’t to get the shot. it’s to make sure you forget I’m even there with a camera.
when you’re relaxed. That’s when the real photos happen.
