C + A | Montreal Wedding
Shooting a wedding is stressful. As a photographer, you have basically one chance to capture every moment so that the couple can remember it for a long time to come. I’m often very anxious about it. Actually… most of my friend photographers are as well. We OFTEN have nightmares where we forget our cameras or the batteries, break our leg and can’t shoot a wedding or worse, lose all the photos. We care a lot about our work. So you can imagine that when that wedding happens to be your good friends, It’s triple (if not quadruple) the stress. Caroline and Andrew were one of the last ones out of our friends to get married. I had shot most of them in recent years and had done a pretty good job, if I may say so myself so, when this wedding came around… I was anxiety city. We got hit with the “misfortune” of rain but these two were all in when it came to doing their photos outdoors anyways. Luckily, they had planned a first look (so that the photos could be done before the ceremony) so we had PLENTY of time to go around Montreal to find a suitable place to do photos. We went over to a park to start, took a few photos in the rain with umbrellas and then, found an underpass to do the rest of the photos. Planning a good timeline is everything. It allows you to relax and just go with the flow.
Needless to say that this wedding story turned out to be one of my favourites. So much emotion and fun moments. That reception party was crazy too! They also got a slideshow so that you can see what the story really was like. Check it out below!
