E | Montreal RAW Boudoir
This is E. She got her RAW boudoir session in her own home in St-adele. Since she has a plain white bedroom, we started by having a few photos that were brighter and then went on to have a darker feel. This turned out to be one of my fav sessions so far!
She even answered a few questions for you to read. Check it out below!
– What is “beauty” to you?
Tough question… I used to think that beauty was physical and had everything to do with looking like a top model, but the more I get older, the more I realize that beauty has everything to do with being happy with our body, feeling good in our skin, feeling confident, feeling sexy and pretty even if we don’t look like Heidi Klum.
– What was the goal in getting a boudoir session done?
It was about time to actually accept the way I look.
– Why do you think it’s important for women to feel beautiful?
Confidence. We have to feel beautiful to be confident, and when we are confident, we can pretty much do anything.
– How did u enjoy getting photos done at ur place? Your own clothes/makeup/hair?
I think it was less stressful. I was not really thinking about it until you showed up. It was more like waiting for a friend who is meeting me for coffee. So, it was very relaxed.
– As a woman, do you feel “ugly” sometimes? Why do you think that is?
I don’t think I am ugly sometimes, but I would say that some days when I look at myself in the mirror, I don’t feel pretty, I don’t like my image. I think it has a lot to do with my state of mind, if I am tired, stressed, feeling lonely, depressed or anxious… when I am feeling good, I always think I am pretty. Everything is in our own mind.
– How did you feel after the session/after you got your photos back?
I felt good, definitely more confident. I especially loved the moody images because it’s very different from what I am in real life. I am always laughing, talking, being silly and these moody images show a different aspect of my personality, something more serious, but also sexier.
– Any last words?
I would definitely recommend to every woman to do a boudoir shoot. And stop saying: Oh I’ll do it when I lose those 10 pounds. No, you won’t. I was saying the same thing and it never happened because I was lying to myself, I was just scared and I was trying to find an excuse for not doing it… until I decided to just go for it, with those 10 pounds or not. And guess what? I love the images I got… with those 10 pounds! Women have to stop trying to fit in standards that were made by people who are not in their skin. We need to establish our own standards of beauty. Beauty is not a number on a scale or a size of jeans. It’s so much more than that.
