Last week was a tough one. Although some people would celebrate with their hands in the air. I went into a mini depression. I turned 30. “Ohhh no. 30 pooorrr baby.” I already hear you all. “30 is a great number. the 30s are the best years of your life. You’ll see. ” For me… .jpg)
I guess there’s a little bit of an advantage to having an aunt who’s a photographer. Except for the fact that i’m A REALLY COOL PERSON…. Isa , you are so beautiful… I think more women need to follow your lead and try to see themselves through other’s eyes.. As a photographer you get to give that gift to women every day <3 Thank you for that and for sharing this.
One year older, one year wiser! I honestly don’t think the number of years matters (I actually once lost track…and you know I’m not *that* old :P) – it’s how you feel inside that counts. <3

Isa, First off, very brave of you to post what you did. I completely and entirely relate to every word. I have become increasingly obsessed with age in the last years, closely monitoring how my face and body is slowly yet surely morphing into that of someone older. Inside I want to freeze into a 26 year old but time flies and it has been a challenge and struggle to think about the everyday process of ageing in a positive light until…recently, a month ago, a blood test showed something funny and the doctor needed to double check what it was, my mind raced through all the scary possibilities for a week until the results came back. Luckily, everything was okay! and then it dawned on me, what a real privilege it is to age. I won’t say that all my fears about ageing have disappeared and that I no longer keep track of every newborn stubborn age line slowly carving my face…but after that brief incident at the doctor’s, I can see the process in better perspective, and that makes me feel a little better about it. So that’s my quick share :) Thanks for posting and may I add, you look stunning in those photos!
